JUJUHOME X AngelHaus

On the 4th of May, JUJUHOME collaborated with AngelHaus, a London-based DJ collective, to make our Monday feel anything but ordinary – instead, it was filled with rhythm, movement, and character. We spent time with Kevin and Rachel, the founders of AngelHaus, who have also been frequent visitors to both JUJUHOME STORE and CHA since the early days.

Rather than following the usual format of raves or DJ events – where listeners travel to a fixed venue – the duo reimagines the experience. They bring the music to people. With their simple DJ setup and a small pink neon sign reading AngelHaus, they move fluidly between local cafés, neighbourhoods, and even countries. The result is something more accessible, more spontaneous, and quietly inclusive.

Much like their approach to space and audience, their sound resists definition. Their sets move seamlessly across R&B, hip-hop, Afrobeat, and dance, but they prefer not to label it too strictly. Instead, they describe it as an exploration of global sounds – a way of preserving, blending, and celebrating diverse musical traditions, instruments, and atmospheres from around the world. While travel often shapes their playlists, just as much inspiration comes from London itself – a city layered with stories from its many immigrant communities.

For now, the collective is focused on intimate, community-driven settings, particularly local cafés. Kevin shared a thought that stayed with us: community can sometimes feel ephemeral, even superficial, because it isn’t something we can physically hold. But when people gather (even briefly) and those moments are experienced, recorded, and remembered, something real is formed. A shared memory. A quiet connection between strangers.

At JUJUHOME, when we talk about “lifestyle”, we don’t see it as something defined by objects alone. It’s about the experiences shaped through them – the moments they hold and enable. This is also why we’ve recently expanded into books and magazines: to offer not just things, but stories, perspectives, and time spent.

Just as reading shapes a way of living, we believe listening does too. Some of you may have noticed that we’re quite particular about the playlists that fill our space. Sound, after all, has its own way of setting tone and building atmosphere. And beyond simply enjoying a live set, we found ourselves reflecting on what “culture” JUJUHOME can share – and how many forms it can take.

So, stay tuned.
